Program Announced for 9th Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations hosted by Friendship Ambassadors Foundation

We are very excited to release more details about the tentative program for the upcoming 9th Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations, held August 3rd – 5th. Here are a few highlights.

The UN Welcome to the United Nations will be provided by:

  • Ban Ki Moon (Invited)
    United Nations Secretary General
  • Baso Sangqu, H. E. Ambassador
    Permanent Mission of South Africa to the United Nations
  • Susan Rice, H. E. Ambassador (Invited)
    Permanent Mission of the United States to the United Nations

The keynote address will be given by Grammy-Award winning singer, Angelique Kidjo, on 8 Goals for Africa and How Artists Can Contribute to the MDGs.

You will also have the opportunity to attend a panel on the The Arab Spring: A Discussion of Youth Leadership and the MDGs in a Changing World, moderated by Khaled Louhichi, Arab League Minister. The panel will include members of the Arab League Youth Delegates, as representatives from the Arab Spring. An audience Q&A will follow the discussion.
