US FENICC

Mission

The Faith and Ethics Nework for the International Criminal Court (FENICC) believes that the principals embodied in the International Criminal Court (ICC) –justice and brotherhood– gives religious organizations a unique obligation to raise awareness at a grassroots level and shape this still young institution of international justice. Background

The UU-UNO has been, and remains, a steadfast advocate for the International Criminal Court and US ratification of the Rome Statues. Since the preliminary talks f0r forming the court began in 1990s, when former Executive Director Elaine Harvey was in office, the UU-UNO has been an active member of what then was the Faith-based Caucus for an International Criminal Court.  When the International Criminal Court began operating  in 2002, the Caucus was reshaped and expanded into the Faith and Ethics Network for the International Criminal Court (FENICC), with two independent branches, International FENICC and US FENICC. The UU-UNO has been one of US FENICC most active members. Currently, Bruce Knotts, Executive Director of the UU-UNO, is Chair for the US Faith and Ethic Network for the International Criminal Court.
